A Little Princess is a children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, first published as a book in 1905, was adapted into several successful films including the cult classic directed by Alfonso Cuaron in 1995. Storyteller Theatre OKC is proud to present our play adaptation of A LITTLE PRINCESS on its' 120th year anniversary.
Sara and her father, Captain Crewe, enjoy a majestic life full of beauty and warmth in India, but Sara is soon sent to Miss Minchin's Boarding School for Girls by her well-meaning World War I-bound father. Intelligent, imaginative and kind, Sara sees through flattery and remains unspoiled; she embraces the status of a 'princess' accorded by other students, and lives up to it with her generosity. After Sara receives heartbreaking news, she is forced to work within the school as a servant. She struggles to keep her spirits up, she makes some remarkable discoveries that may change her seemingly bleak fate.
