Headed to a show? Please note the following traffic updates as they affect the areas immediately surrounding the music hall.

Construction Traffic update as of March 11:

NOW OPEN:

Lee Avenue from Main to California - Film Row District
Shartel from Main to California - Film Row District

ROADS CLOSED:
California Avenue from Dewey to Walker
Lee Ave.: CLOSED between Couch and Robert S. Kerr
Dewey: CLOSED between Sheridan and California Streets

LIMITED ACCESS:
Main Street between Walker and Lee
Walker Avenue between Reno and Main Street
Harvey from NW 4th to Dean A. McGee Street limited to two lanes
Main Street between Hudson and Walker: East-bound traffic only.

LOCATION
The Civic Center Music Hall is located at 201 North Walker Avenue between Colcord and Couch drives, across the street west from City Hall.  

PARKING
Metered and private lot parking is available along the north and south sides of the building, on Couch and Colcord Drives. Individual parking fees for events can range from $6 to $10. The Civic Center does not control pricing for these lots.

Handicapped Parking Handicapped parking spaces are located across the street from the building along Couch (north) and Colcord (south) Drives. The spaces are within easy access to the wheelchair ramps that lead to the main entry doors. For more information on wheelchair accessability, please visit our Disabilities Services page.

Pre-reserved parking
A select number of pre-reserved parking spaces is available in the Civic Center lot (across the street south of the performance hall) for each show in the Thelma Gaylord Performance Hall. Cost is $6 per space. You can purchase a reserved space by calling
T.H.E. Box Office at 405.297.2264. Parking not available with online ticket purchases.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

PROJECT180 UPDATE: PLEASE READ the following traffic updates.

Note:
Due to ongoing road construction in support of the City's Project180 initiative, please be advised that changes to roadways and traffic routes will be common through 2014. Please check the front page of our website for any new traffic developments or detours.

We recommend all patrons allow for additional travel and parking time in order to arrive on time to your event.

I-40 Eastbound (from I-44, Hefner Parkway)
Construction Alert: As of January, 2012, the Walker Exit from eastbound I-40 is no longer available. Vehicles must take the Western or Shields Avenue exits (Shields is far east of the Civic Center).
Exit Western Avenue.
Turn left (north) onto Western at light (top of exit ramp, on bridge).
Continue north five blocks to Reno, or six blocks to Sheridan, then turn right (east).
You can then turn left (north) on any of the following streets to access Colcord Avenue, South of the Civic Center: Lee, Dewey, Walker

I-40 Westbound (from Tinker, East OK County)
Project180 ALERT: Robinson Exit on I-40 westbound is closed.
Alternate routes: Exit off Classen Blvd exit from I-40 (see instructions below), or merge onto I-235 and take 4th Street/Harrison Avenue exit west.

If exiting onto Classen Boulevard (from Westbound I-40)
Continue north on Classen Boulevard to W Main Street (Sheridan has lane limitations due to construction)
Turn right (east) onto Main Street.
Continue east on Main for three blocks, to Lee Avenue.
At Lee, turn left (north).
Continue north on Lee for two blocks, to Colcord.
Turn right onto Colcord (one-way traffic going east)

From I-35 North
Project180 ALERT:
Robinson Exit on I-40 westbound is closed.
Alternate routes: Exit off Classen Blvd exit from I-40 (see instructions above), or exit onto I-235 and follow instructions below.

Continue on I-35 northboud as it merges into 235, just east of downtown.
Continue north until the 4th Street/Harrison Avenue Exit.
At Walnut Avenue (end of exit loop), turn right onto 6th Street.
Continue west on 6th Street until you reach Hudson Avenue (approx/ 4 blocks)
Turn left (south) onto Hudson, and drive south two blocks to Couch Drive
Turn right (west) onto Couch (in front of OKC Museum of Art) and continue for one block, to Walker.
Building will be in front of you on the left.

From 235 South (from Edmond, NE Oklahoma City)
Exit "Downtown" onto 6th Street.
Turn right onto 6th Street, continue west until you reach Hudson Avenue (approx. 4 blocks)
Turn left (south) onto Hudson, and drive south two blocks to Couch Drive
Turn right (west) onto Couch (in front of OKC Museum of Art) and continue for one block, to Walker.
Building will be in front of you on the left.
Note: The intersection of 5th and Oklahoma is currently closed. Either turn directly onto 6th Street, or continue south on Walnut Ave., and turn right onto 4th Street.
